Why Join the Sisters of the Cross?
If you feel a desire growing in your heart to lead a life consecrated to God while serving the poor, educating youth, and standing with the marginalized—Jesus may be inviting you to walk under the Standard of the Cross.
Stages of Religious Life
Aspirancy / Come & See (6 Months - 1 Year)
An invitation to live in community, participate in daily prayers, get acquainted with the charism of Mother Claudine, and discern God's personal call.
Postulancy (1 - 2 Years)
A time of gradual human and spiritual maturity. The postulant deepens her Christian faith, studies Scripture, and engages in pastoral visits to the poor.
Novitiate (2 Years: Canonical + Apostolic)
The heart of religious initiation. The novice immerses herself in prayer, studies the Constitutions and Rule of Life, and spends periods in community missions.
Juniorate / Temporary Vows (5 - 6 Years)
After first profession of vows (Chastity, Poverty, Obedience), the Junior Sister integrates consecrated life with active professional training before Final Profession.
Ongoing Lifelong Formation
Religious formation never ceases. Throughout her life, every Sister participates in annual retreats and renewal seminars to remain joyful witnesses of Christ's mission.
