Home for the aged at Padiwatte, Kandy, Sri Lanka was declared open by Sr. Christa Bennet, provincial superior on the 27th of December 2021. The previous cottage was a bit too old and not roomy enough to accommodate many of our inmates; thus with the dedicated efforts of our sisters, along with the spontaneous support of our donors and generous associations, we were fortunate to construct and complete a building having demolished the old cottage. We are really happy that our new home has provided accommodation for about 23 inmates who are lodged in comfort, each person having a room and an attached bathroom, with modern facilities. All the inmates are personally observed by the sisters who attend to their healthcare medical needs and requirements etc.
